I met my boyfriend online and we love eachother more then anything.

Great. It’s ultimatly how I met my wife. But leading up to that relationship I had a decent precentage of great dates, and a handful of uninteresting experinces. But no terrible experinces. As a guy there is not the danger factor that there would be with a woman. My wife was always bringing a friend when she met strangers – or at least she would have a friend nearby. Ultimatly as a guy the most common complaint I had was when people would submit a photo of themselves that would turn out to be dated – making them appear to be 5 to 10 years younger than they were when I finally met them. Ask for RECENT photo.

My best friend met her husband through Match.com. They just got married this fall, and are a fantastic couple together.

I also have a cousin who met her current boyfriend from an internet dating site as well.

I know of others too who have met their spouses online and they are all really happy together.

Its a good way to get to meet people who have similar interests and life goals as you. Its a lot faster than traditional dating since you know right away whether or not they ever want to get married or have a family, whether or not they are a smoker, or social drinker etc.

But the important thing is to be safe. Don’t give out your address or home phone # until you have met the person a few times. – I wouldn’t even recommend meeting them until you have emailed back and forth a few times.

When you meet them in person, choose a public place, and make sure someone you trust knows where you are, and when you will be back – just in case things go wrong.

Most of the time it a great thing, but it is still smart to be careful.

careful, I dated this one guy off the internet and he tied me up and kept me naked in his garage for 2 days, then he slipped some white powder in my pepsi and I don't remember what happened after that. These guys are all perverts who want to use you for sex!

I dated a couple guys from off the internet. its really not any difference then meeting someone off the street or bar or where ever you may hang out at. just have to use your gut feeling on things and be careful.
